MacOS 8.5/8.6 Configuration

MacOS 8.5 includes all the software you need to allow your Macintosh computer to dialin to Easynet and connect directly to the Internet. The dialup software can be easily set up using the Internet Setup Assistant, which should already be installed in the Internet or Assistants folders on your Mac's hard drive. If it is not, you'll need to install it from your MacOS 8.5 installation CD.

You'll need the following information to set up MacOS 8.5 to dialin to Easynet. You may also wish to refer to or print out our full MacOS 8.5 Walkthrough.

Modem Settings

You'll need to know what kind of modem you have (manufacturer and model or speed), which port on your Mac its plugged into (modem port or printer port), and whether your phone line has tone or pulse dialling (almost everyone has tone dialling these days).
